Our mission is to assist governments in strengthening the public health sector by building sustainable epidemiology and disease investigation capacity, enhancing quality management systems, and ensuring preparedness for public health emergencies.

Improve the capacity of all countries to detect, assess, notify, and respond to public health threats

Implement guidelines to meet the current disease burden

Support integrated health systems strengthening

Put in place a global disease monitoring, detection, prevention, and response system

Utilize federal EPA test methods to facilitate compliance with state and federal requirements

Quality Objectives

To complete at least 90% of the activities established on the organization's annual workplan

To meet at least 90% of timelines established in the organization workplan

To achieve and maintain ISO 9001 certification

To facilitate or deliver at least one technical training per quarter to laboratory staff

To submit 95% of reports required by external parties by the due date

To fulfil at least 75% of identified staff development needs annually
